What we need
  • 3-5 clearly articulated organization-wide goals
  • Meeting facilitation of leadership team to discuss and agree upon goals
  • Note: This project does not include specific tactics to achieve goals

We had a solid Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan in 2019. Then Covid hit.

While we're very proud of the operational pivot we've made, our strategy didn't made the jump.

We now seek to adapt our strategy to strengthen and grow our organisation during Covid and post-Covid.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a documented and approved pre-Covid strategic plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a pre-Covid roadmap, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,620 , allowing us to use our current resources effectively, and fundraise to expand our engagement and educational capacity.

A new strategic plan will allow us to deliver the right services the right way, and the right team to do it. It's our next step in helping more of our students build lives they love.

Prep: Information Sharing
  • Volunteer Manager shares foundational materials to help Professional understand current state and historical context, including mission & vision, business plan, program data, and financial information
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss any urgent gaps that must be incorporated into annual goals

Milestone 1: Meeting Facilitation
  • Professional facilitates 1-2 sessions with Executive Director and leadership team, if applicable, to discuss organization-wide goals based on core needs (e.g., program development, fundraising, marketing, internal operations)
  • Group agrees on 3-5 goals for a period of time

Milestone 2: Goal Refinement
  • Professional refines goals, writes out in bullet-point form, and shares with team
  • Volunteer Manager and/or leadership provides up to 2 rounds of feedback, which Professional incorporates

Milestone 3: Slide Creation
  • Professional creates short presentation in Powerpoint, Google Slides, or Keynote containing annual goals that Volunteer Manager can share with internal stakeholders or board of directors
